TREES PLANTED ON THE CLIFF

Our lot is along the cliff, like most of the lots in La Isla. In fact that's why it's called La Isla."island". This community has steep cliffs on both sides, making it like an island.

We have planted many trees, a special type, that grows really large roots into the
ground, holding our ground firm and preventing erosion.These Guatemalans know all about living and growing things on this type of land.You can see this all over Guatemala, and it's really quite beautiful. Please click on the photos to get a good look at the trees, there are dozens.
