Jackie Carson: I am a Missionary to Guatemala each year for about 5 months. I live and work with a Guatemala Pastor and his family. I started a school in a poor area where we teach the children in Spanish and English. We teach Bible, reading, writing and math.

School In La Isla

The school was started in 2004 in a poor community in Guatemala City, called La Isla. La Isla in Spanish means "island". This community is a strip of undeveloped land with steep cliffs on either side. We borrowed a "patio" from one family for several years and rented a "patio" one year, and finally this year we were able to start building our own school building. Praise God!
